The little film that put a smile on my face when i didn't think anything could.

I watched "Away we Go" last night, and I can honestly say that a film hasn't left me feeling that inspired since seeing "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind", and the soundtrack just complimented the story so well.

So whilst browsing the songs on you tube earlier I came across this lovely little film. Doesn't London look beautiful? Is it sad that this made me feel a little emotional? Probably yes, I know!

Rasa N16

Rasa in Stoke Newington is not to missed on a trip to London. We love going here and eating traditional Indian food. We ordered far too much, but honestly the dosa's are the best we've tasted since coming back from India. We had the most amazing dinner and spent our time reminiscing about our trip to South India last year.  The staff are so friendly, the decor so pink and the food delicious. They have two restaurants on the same street opposite each other, one is vegetarian and the other meat. Have a look at the website here. 

Red velvet cupcakes

So well it's a special day today, not only is it mine and my boyfriends 3 year anniversary but it's also my blogs 1st birthday!

So as a special treat and a romantic gesture for Glen I made some red velvet cupcakes to celebrate. I'm a terrible baker and normally everything I bake comes out black and not so edible but this recipe is so easy even i can successfully make them! These cupcakes are perfect for valentine's day and i can't wait to make more of them and give them out to my loved ones. 

I found the recipe here from an english cook called Gizzi Erskine {tipped to be the new nigella} check her website out. I can't wait till her book comes out in March, everything she makes looks so delicious!

I'm having a bad week this week and it's only Tuesday! I'm missing Africa a lot. I miss the amazing  generous people, the children and the lush green scenery. I would go back tomorrow if I could. 
I've been looking through a few of my photos albums ( i took about 1200 photos whilst i was there!) whilst listening to "Vampire Weekends" new album - I highly recommend it! It's lifting me out of this slump.
