All Stars and a trip to St John's

I treated G to a little trip to St John's last week. The food was incredible, not too rich and really delicious. The restaurant is situated in the middle of shoreditch, and not too pricey. I recommend  it to anyone and everyone! After we ate, we decided to go bowling! Something that i haven't done for the past 4-5 years. It was so much fun. We had such a laugh and G only beat me by 10 points, needless to say i was chuffed!

Anyway here are some of our pics......

1. Glen in St John's bread and wine { I'm not sure why he pulled this pose, maybe he didn't want me to share our new foodie spot with anyone!}
2. Me with a lot of posters in Shoreditch north east London.
3. G strolling around Shoreditch
4. Bowling shoes
5. us waiting
6, 7 & 8. Us at all stars bowling and of course there is always time for a game of pool ( i beat Glen every time!)

Have a fab weekend

Okay so it's 11 am and I am wide awake, and my lovely boyfriend is fast asleep next to me. I feel like I should give him till 12, considering he was up at 4.30 am yesterday for work and we were out last night till 1 am! But my belly is rumbling something rotten and i'm surprised that it hasn't woken G up yet....ohhhhhh tossing....turning. Nope he's still asleep! Anyway when he does wake up we're off to the farmers market, to eat brunch and drink coffee, whilst reading the paper sat on a school bench! I love weekends. I hope you all have a great one too!

what my weekend looked like

Charlotte and me, what posers!

We made these t-shirts in honor of dave and his hairy chest!

On friday my house mates Cat and Dave had their leaving party, and what a party!

Lots of dancing, laughing and a few sad faces was given saying bye!

On Saturday, after waking up with a very sore head, Glen and I headed out for breakfast at our favourite little place in Stoke Newington

{you must visit this place, if you live in London and order the Mediterranean breakfast, it's so good i have dreams about it!}

we then took our big full bellies off to the Cinema.

We saw 500 days of summer and i'm still gushing

over it as i listen to the soundtrack on repeat!

Sunday we were up early to meet Glen's work friends and go to the screening of Creation.

I can honestly say it is such a beautiful film,

and don't even get me started on the acting,

wow!

Now it’s Monday and it’s been a pretty stressful day,

and I seem to be getting a bit too anxious about Uganda now!

All my friends, family, house mates, Glen are busy and i suddenly feel all alone.

A feeling i haven’t felt in along time.

I’m just going to have to distract myself with packing and reading

all the books that have built up on my bedside table!

Happy Weekend

It's my last weekend before i head off to Africa,
and I can't wait to spend a whole day pottering around.
I'm hoping to go to the farmers market,
and then spend a lazy afternoon laughing with Glen.

On Sunday we are off to the screening of Creation
{the lovely boy worked on it, and i'm so excited about seeing it}
But now I'm off for a much needed coffee with a friend
to celebrate it being friday!

I hope you all have a beautiful weekend, filled with sunshine and laughter.

O i do like to be beside the seaside

Glen and I had a day out in Brighton on saturday. It may have rained alllllll day, but that didn't stop us from having a great time. It was just so nice to get some fresh air and be out of the smokey city for a day.
We walked a lot, laughed a lot and ate a lot!

camping

{group photo}
{boots!}

{playing games}
{our lovely friends wednesday and jack}

We go camping this time every year for our friends b'day.
It was founded three years ago and we've now named it Treeworld.
We all camp out in a beautiful field in Kent, play games and cook chilli!
It was so nice to get out of London for the weekend, going out for walks, catching up with friends and feeing the fresh air on our faces.
........................................
I love camping so much, but Glen's not such a big fan!
here are some photos we took from Treeworld

weekend bits and bobs

This weekend we went to the cast and crew screening of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, it was dark, magical and brilliant! I'm a huge fan of the books, and Glen has been lucky enough to work on the films. I just loved seeing his cute beaming face at the end of the film.
After we came out of the cinema we went shopping to get our tennis outfits for a friends party that night. But on our way home i got really ill and was sick as soon as i got in the front door(i guess this may have something to do with the hot dog and popcorn i ate for breakfast!)

I had to miss out on the party, but it's not all bad.. my mum was staying with us, so we decided that we would watch An Affair to Remember whilst being snuggled up on the sofa eating left over banana bread.

Heres some pictures of Glen in his tennis gear, he got best legs award that night!

weekend excitement

so we've had to stay in today to wait for our tickets to the screening of Harry Potter to arrive,
 and yes we finally got them.
We can't wait to see it even if we do have to be at the cinema by 9 am tomorrow morning.
I love Harry Potter....
I know i'm a big kid but i don't care!
I like being a big kid sometimes, it's much more fun!

This week has been great, no work and all play.
We're having a heat wave in London at the minute which means
 swimming, having drinks outside with friends in the garden and sunbathing a lot.
I love life

Have a great weekend

Spending quality time with each other and friends is the best way to spend a sunny weekend.
we swam, had lazy day time naps in the park and watched 30 rock.

content

I have had the most wonderful weekend. I've never felt so content, comfortable and well blissfully happy. I am so lucky to have so many amazing people in my life.

Anyway highlights from my weekend -

  1. seeing my gorgeous mum and sister. we moved lots of boxes {my sisters moving} and ate cupcakes whist gossiping.
  2. late night cinema date with Glen. we went to see Star Trek, I loved it by the way.
  3. sleeping in on Sunday and waking up with glen still in the bed {for the first time in a month!}
  4. going to London fields lido { two weekends in a row!} and day dreaming about the future whilst glens arms were round me.
  5. eating fish and chips in the park on a lazy sunday evening

I love my life. I have up and down days - more so recently than ever before.
but i am so grateful for all the opportunities i have been given.

happy weekend

 {photo taken by one of the primary school students in malawi}

Fridays here, woot, woot!

 We’re off to our friend’s wedding tomorrow, and then off to a film screening of Shifty on Sunday. Hopefully we will have lots of lovely photos to share on Monday.

I have had a mixed week this week, some good luck which was then followed by some bad luck - so typical!

But I have a lot of exciting new projects on the arisen.

I will be telling more soon.....

I hope you all have a superb weekend!
