lazy sundays

What a blissful Sunday morning.
I have the house to myself and I'm enjoying it by drinking coffee, watching the sound of music {first time in 23 years}
and have the laptop firmly placed on my lap.
Also, i just got some photos printed off from my fisheye camera.
I love that they haven't come out perfectly

me and glen in Brighton on the toy train
Nat and Alex being fish

Charlotte and me at our friends gig

me and my besties
from left, jenny, me, carrie and linzi
i've been best friends with these beauties since i was 10.

dear diary

yesterday was a long day....it dragged....... and dragged.......................
and maybe i got soaking wet running around London town.
I'm so glad today is a new day and i have no plans.
i could in fact stay in my pj's all day if i wanted to.............um tempting
I'm fed up of tossing and turning in my bed at night, all i want is at least 6 hours sleep.
sleep come back to me.
I'm nervous about all the big things in my life that are happening soon.
I'm not sure if I'm ready, or capable to progress the way i want to.

on a slightly better note, I'm so glad Glen comes home today.
I need to see his handsome bearded face.

{photo taken with the Diana camera}

p.s the boy who lives next door who likes to play the drums alllllllll morning - STOP!
you are ruining my peaceful day off!

p.ss i may be a little grumpy from the lack of sleep, sorry!

it's been a while

(photo taken from baby,picurethis,
take a visit, honestly it will be love at first sight)

I haven't blogged in ages, and I've been missing it a lot.

I've spent the past week in Somerset visiting my mum
and friends who I have known since i was 10.
It was so lovely catching up with all my besties, honestly though when did we all get sooooo grown up?

It was so nice being out in the fresh (non smokey) air surrounded by flowers and fields.
As soon as i got back to London i was hit by sticky weather
and stuck on the tube for hours!
But it was all worth it when i got home and saw Glen's smiley face!

friday nights are made for date nights

This is us in our new favourite place The Diner in Angel, Islington. They have more plotted over the city but this one is just down the road from us, and i can already tell you that we may be going back a lot from now on!
It's like we took a step back to the 5o's American era.
Honestly if you live in London, do go,
the burgers are soooo good (especially the Californian) and it's so much fun!

p.s I'm loving our Friday night date nights.
It started last Friday, after realizing that we hadn't spent a night out together in yonks!!
I look forward to these nights for the whole week now!

Inspiration

"Celebrated photographer Rankin briefly turned his back on the glitz and glamour and took his camera to the refugee camps of the war-torn DR Congo."

Aren't these photos great!
I love the white background and I love seeing the children just having a cheeky laugh in front of the camera.
I'm off to Uganda next month, to take photos and film for a charity called LCD.
So I'm getting all the inspiration I can!

okay, and a couple more

because I heart love stories and wish I lived in New York!
I wonder if they will do one about London next..

because it looks pretty fantastic to me!

i can't wait to see this

and maybe i like reading children's books at the back of the bookstore where no-one else can find me!

when it's grey outside i dream of being back in India

last night i had a dream about Elephants, Chai tea and India.

{If only we were back there.}

When ever i feel a little sad, I think about India and all the amazing adventures we had there. Just the two of us.
I remember the morning we met Benna (the elephant).

I had dreamed about seeing and being close enough to touch an elephant since i was tiny, and Glen surprised me and paid for the both of us to walk, clean and feed Beena.

Oh my ...i was so excited, but soooo nervous!

(well you can see for yourself how big Beena was!)
It was truly the most amazing experience of my life to date.

She was so gentle, beautiful and this may sound silly but a really happy elephant.
This is a memory that I will cherish forever and hope to one day share with our little ones!

O i do like to be beside the seaside

Glen and I had a day out in Brighton on saturday. It may have rained alllllll day, but that didn't stop us from having a great time. It was just so nice to get some fresh air and be out of the smokey city for a day.
We walked a lot, laughed a lot and ate a lot!
