feeling blue

I'm procrastinating a lot.

I have a half packed bag sat in the corner of my room,

I have cried 3 times today

and I desperately need to get some sleep.

So today my house mate

{who has become so much more these past few months}

told me she's moving out,

I then sat there with her and my other house mate

(who's moving too!)

sobbing.

These girls are like sisters to me, i see them everyday,

I moan to then, get annoyed with them, and borrow their clothes, but I also laugh with them, share secrets with them and in this time, they have become my best friends.

Cat is leaving for Glasgow and Marie is moving back to Paris.

I hate change at the best of times, but this really hit me hard

and I don't know how much more of living in a house share i can take.

Meeting new people, starting over again.

I really want Glen and I to move out and move in to this

love nest that I've been dreaming about for the past 3 years,

but I'm not financially ready and the truth is, i'm not sure when i will be.

I'm off to Uganda on Thursday, and when i get home i will be faced with two new house mates, one of my house mates moving out and have to get a job.

My face is coming out in a rash just thinking about it.

I wish Glen wasn't working nights all this week and creeping in at 7 am every morning, i need him to talk to in bed and cuddle up to.

I'm not sure how i'm going to manage 3 weeks with out him.

Thank you for letting me rant, I really needed it tonight. I promise the next time I type

i'll be a bit happier!

what my weekend looked like

Charlotte and me, what posers!

We made these t-shirts in honor of dave and his hairy chest!

On friday my house mates Cat and Dave had their leaving party, and what a party!

Lots of dancing, laughing and a few sad faces was given saying bye!

On Saturday, after waking up with a very sore head, Glen and I headed out for breakfast at our favourite little place in Stoke Newington

{you must visit this place, if you live in London and order the Mediterranean breakfast, it's so good i have dreams about it!}

we then took our big full bellies off to the Cinema.

We saw 500 days of summer and i'm still gushing

over it as i listen to the soundtrack on repeat!

Sunday we were up early to meet Glen's work friends and go to the screening of Creation.

I can honestly say it is such a beautiful film,

and don't even get me started on the acting,

wow!

Now it’s Monday and it’s been a pretty stressful day,

and I seem to be getting a bit too anxious about Uganda now!

All my friends, family, house mates, Glen are busy and i suddenly feel all alone.

A feeling i haven’t felt in along time.

I’m just going to have to distract myself with packing and reading

all the books that have built up on my bedside table!

Happy Weekend

It's my last weekend before i head off to Africa,
and I can't wait to spend a whole day pottering around.
I'm hoping to go to the farmers market,
and then spend a lazy afternoon laughing with Glen.

On Sunday we are off to the screening of Creation
{the lovely boy worked on it, and i'm so excited about seeing it}
But now I'm off for a much needed coffee with a friend
to celebrate it being friday!

I hope you all have a beautiful weekend, filled with sunshine and laughter.

Africa!

I can't believe i leave for Uganda in less than two weeks,
argghhh I'm so excited but so anxious too!
I can wait to go back to Africa
{last trip was to Malawi in 2008, you can see here}
and have another adventure with my chica Natalia.
We are both working for the charity Link Community Development for two weeks and then have the third week off to travel around.

This will be such an emotional, yet rewarding experience and i can't really believe how lucky I am to have the opportunity to go.

has anyone been to Uganda before? any tips?

windy chilly days

{me in Clissold Park, Stoke Newington}
{Glen enjoying the weather}

I'm not sure about anyone else but I'm really enjoying the start of Autumn.
Windy walks through the park, watching the leaves turn colour and wrapping up warm in my favourite cardie is the best.
Yesterday i was so stressed with everything that's going on..
I decided i needed some alone time.
I grabbed my coat, bought a hot chocolate and went on a big walk around Clissold Park.
It really cleared my head, and i felt so much better when i got home.
Also, thank you Nat and Alex for making me dinner and looking after me when Glen's at work, you're the best!
