happy halloween

This is my favourite time of year.

The leaves have fallen, there is a crisp feeling in the air, and we can finally wrap up in jumpers, coats, scarves and mittens!

Tonight Glen and I took a walk along Church street and were greeted by lots of little ones dressed up (looking more adorable than scary) trick or treating, it put such a huge smile on my face and made me forget how awful I was feeling from the night before!

We then chomped on hot pasta and drank hot cocoa, everything about it was perfect!

I hope you all have a lovely night whatever you get up to!

Todays not my day

Photo taken with shakeitphoto for I phone

I've been so busy since I've come back from Uganda.
My gorgeous sister had a beautiful baby boy, my mum's been here a lot to visit and I've spent a lot of time catching up with friends.
So today, with no real plans a head of me I've started to think about what I'm going to do next.
I need to look for a new contract, start editing my film, and think up some new projects. Normally I find this quite exciting.
One of the reasons why I work in the media industry is because i can have the freedom to be creative, meet new people, and have short - term contracts.
Sometimes it can be really exciting.
But today I'm feeling a little low about the future.

On the up side of things...
Glen is off work too. He's writing a film {very exciting} and we've got a little time to play, catch up and laugh a lot together.
My sister and gorgeous nephew live near so I can see them as much as i want!
One of my best friends is visiting me this weekend for trips to brick lane, cups of tea and lots of girly sleep overs!
And tonight we're off to take part in a pub quiz....
wish me luck!

Reasons why I love London

Mum and Me
{ My new motto in life!}

Numero uno Columbia Rd Market
Last weekend my gorgeous mum was staying in London to visit me and my sister.
We had the loveliest weekend visiting Baby Sach and also taking a little trip to
Columbia Rd Flower Market.
I can't believe I've lived in London for nearly 4 years now and never been before....
We had such a lovely day, buying flowers, eating cupcakes and bumping in to very talented friends ...
The Bonfire Band
who were playing at the end of the road.
Nat and I listened to their album every day in Uganda,
and it was so nice to hear it live in London.
If you live in London and your like me who says I'll get round to going one day.......let it be sooner than latter!
I think I'll be back every Sunday now, stocking up on sunflowers!

Baby Sachin

{He's so teeny!}

So my beautiful sister gave birth to a gorgeous baby boy whilst i was away. I can't believe I missed it, but it was so lovely coming home to a new addition to the family.
And I can't tell you enough how much i adore this little fella!
I'm so proud of my big sister, she honestly makes the best mum.
It's as if she's been doing it for years!

Don't they make the cutest family!

I'm back!

I got back from Uganda last Wednesday, and now I'm slowly adjusting coming back to reality. I had the most incredible time. It was a busy 3 weeks of work which consisted of visiting 3 to 4 schools and filming about 8 interviews a day!

Uganda has experienced a lot of violence and it's still very much apparent in places and on the locals faces. However I never felt unsafe and we were so lucky to be surrounded with great people who looked after us so well. I will never forget all the harrowing stories we heard whilst there, and it's hard not to come home a changed person. I really appreciate my life, and realise just how lucky i am to have a beautiful family and friends.

I will write more about my trip soon. I think I still need to do a bit more settling in first!

I'll post more photos soon too, I promise
