Lets play catch up...!

wowza, it's been so long! In this time i turned 24 (eekk), G came home from Norway, we took a little trip to the seaside, and I've been away a lot with work.

So lets start with my birthday. It was such a glorious day. I managed to get the day of work and woke up very early and was surprised to find the end of the bed  full of very well wrapped presents. Glen bought me the sweetest gifts and i was honestly shocked that he did so well. I'm not easy to buy for! Later that day we jumped in the car and headed over to Kew (west London) for a picnic with my sister and cutest little nephew. We drank cider, ate a lot of  yummy cake (made by my big sis) snacked on picnic food and laughed a lot at sachi eating.

I can't get enough of this little fella. I mean common look at him!

In the evening i had organised a little gathering in a local pub with close friends. I wasn't sure who was going to turn up, and if i'm honest i really did think many people would show, but it turned in to a bit of a party and  i was blown away by everyones efforts to make my night special.

The pub is called Jolly Butcher's in Stoke Newington (just don't the road from my house). Isn't the decor great?!

I will blog about my seaside trip x 2 soon. As i didn't realise how long this post was getting! I have a day off today so lots of relaxing to do. In fact I'm going to spend most of it in my local bookshop choosing a new book then taking it to my favourite coffee shop and i plan to read it the whole afternoon. I can't wait!

Have a fab weekend

Okay so it's 11 am and I am wide awake, and my lovely boyfriend is fast asleep next to me. I feel like I should give him till 12, considering he was up at 4.30 am yesterday for work and we were out last night till 1 am! But my belly is rumbling something rotten and i'm surprised that it hasn't woken G up yet....ohhhhhh tossing....turning. Nope he's still asleep! Anyway when he does wake up we're off to the farmers market, to eat brunch and drink coffee, whilst reading the paper sat on a school bench! I love weekends. I hope you all have a great one too!

Birthday fun!

Glen and I had the best day yesterday celebrating his B'day.

We had blueberry pancakes for breakfast, then travelled to the Natural History Museum to see the new Darwin Cocoon

{worth a visit it you live in London}.

We had such a lovely time sharing secrets and talking about our goals and future plans.

And i must say i'm pretty excited by it!

However today i've woken up with a stinky cold. so i now have four layers of tops on and i've spent most the day applying for jobs whilst being tucked up in bed!

I've also become slightly addicted to this video!

I've been so busy recently, I feel like work is really taking over and all i do is sleep, eat and work. I start working live in the studio next week and it's going to be 5 am starts and i imagine really stressful. Anyway I'm thinking about the good things.

it's my birthday tomorrow, yippee! I've been really poorly this week, so i'm hoping i feel better tomorrow as all i want to do now is curl up in my pj's and sleep! 

Work has been crazy busy recently, and i can't help but get stressed. 

My sister has really been there for me and is always saying the nicest things to cheer me up.

 i love her so much.

 I've been receiving lots of birthday messages from family and friends already and it's put such a big smile on my face. 

And Glen's downstairs at the moment, being very sneaky.

heres to wonderful weekends

so i had a lovely time at the weekend, seeing friends and being silly. Heres a quick lowdown on what i got up to..

Friday

met with my great friend mel and went to see our friend laura sing in her choir. she's such an amazing singer, and i was nearly welling up as i saw her perform.

Saturday

a few friends took me out for an early birthday celebration dinner, which was lovely. we drank far too much wine and didn't stop talking the whole night!

Sunday

glen and i woke up late and had a lazy day doing nothing but eat and watch films
